The first cogeneration plant in Ukraine was installed with the support of USAID

The heat supply enterprise of the city of Starokostyantynov in the Khmelnytskyi region completed the successful installation and connection to the networks of the cogeneration plant, which was purchased with the funds of USAID Ukraine within the framework of the USAID Energy Security Project. This installation is equipped with a gas-piston engine and simultaneously generates heat and electricity to provide electricity to the city's boiler houses. This solution provides continuous heat supply to critical and social facilities and multi-apartment buildings. The project is implemented jointly with USAID and is aimed at implementing small and medium-sized cogeneration systems and supporting energy efficiency in local district heating systems, as well as legal reforms to ensure technical optimization and environmental sustainability.
