Former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko found himself at the Center for New Scandals related to suspicion of treason and the possibility of confiscation of his property. As part of these events, Poroshenko decided to transfer shares of his TV channels to journalists, but because of fears of the possible consequences, this step was soon canceled. The grounds for this purpose by the petition calls that P. Poroshenko was one of the founders and co -chair of the Party of Regions, which became a political platform for pursuing anti -Ukrainian policy in favor of the Russian Federation.
During the presidency of V. Yanukovych P.Poroshenko he took the post of Minister of Economic Development and Trade in the Government of Azarov, who is suspected of treason in connection with the assistance, together with V. Yanukovych, aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
The author considers the participation of P. Poroshenko in the process related to Kharkiv agreements, the consequences of which caused the defense of Ukraine, the loss of control over the Black Sea Fleet, the occupation of Russia by the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the beginning of military aggression against Ukraine. P.Poroshenko actively participated in the information and legal legalization of Kharkiv agreements, in particular, publicly calling these agreements "the art of compromise".
According to the author of the petition, the spiritual activity of P. Poroshenko is equally significant. After a long period, he was an active parishioner and a patron of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate (UOC -MP). According to some sources, in 2009, during the celebration of the Trinity, he was pushed into deacons, after which he carried the main icon of the holiday - the image of the Trinity, participating in the procession. The UOC -MP reported that Poroshenko was a parishioner and a patron of the church, and also performed a palamat.
In the context of the grounds for applying sanctions to P. Poroshenko, the author of the petition points to multi-sectoral business activity, which covers different sectors of the economy, including oil and gas production, energy, confectionery and construction.
In particular, P. Poroshenko had business communications with Nestor Shufrych , who is suspected of treason. Despite the constant disputes, they continued the joint business at PJSC "Oil and Gas -proving".
And after the beginning of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine in 2014, companies belonging to P. Poroshenko and his business partners, in the period 2014-2018, actively traded with the Russian Federation. The author gives examples of such business partnership and notes that "as a result of the activities of companies belonging or belonging to P. Poroshenko, from the profits received after the start of military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, they paid taxes to the budget of the Russian Federation for the amount that clearly exceeds UAH 40 million."
