During the full-scale invasion, Russia destroyed 214 medical facilities

During the period of full-scale war, the enemy destroyed 214 medical facilities, and more than 1,600 were damaged. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal. He emphasized that attacks on medical institutions are part of Russia's systematic attacks against the country's medical infrastructure.

"Our goal is to restore life and infrastructure. Over the past two years, it was possible to completely or partially restore 880 medical facilities, and this work continues," he said.

Shmyhal also emphasized that the attack on the "Okhmatdit" hospital is part of the shelling, as a result of which one building of the hospital was destroyed, and four were significantly damaged. The incident resulted in injuries and deaths of medical personnel and children.

"President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi has already ordered to find new locations for the relocation of medical personnel and children from damaged and destroyed buildings. Now such places have already been found - they are Kyiv Regional Clinical Hospitals No. 1 and No. 2. The relocation has already been ordered, and it is important that the children receive a full range of medical services in the new conditions," he added.

Regarding the support of "Okhmatdyt", Shmyhal expressed his gratitude to all those who joined the fundraising through the United24 platform.

"In a few hours, we managed to collect 100 million hryvnias. These funds will also be used to restore the hospital," he concluded.
