Ukrainian law enforcement officers and the Ministry of Education and Science are alarmed: Russian special services actively involve children in sabotage through manipulation, blackmail and deception. Teens are tempted by "easy earnings", forced to perform "simple tasks", which later develop into serious crimes.
Recruited children may not be aware of what are becoming participants in illegal activities. For example, in Ivano-Frankivsk, two students were removed when they transferred the explosive.
The Russians use different methods to involve minors in crimes: they make themselves for friends, presented to the police, or simply offer money for postcarding, arson or shooting of strategic objects.
How to recognize recruitment?
Experts advise parents to pay attention to changes in the child's behavior:
-
the appearance of incomprehensible funds or expensive gadgets;
-
Security, long -term social networks, avoids talking about dating on the Internet;
-
new acquaintances who offer suspicious "work";
-
a sharp interest in military affairs, strategic objects, politics;
-
Talk about "easy earning" on the network.
How to save a baby?
The Ministry of Education and Science is advised to maintain a trusting relationship with their children, to be interested in their circle of communication, to control the content they consume on social networks. It is important to teach teenagers digital safety rules, explain the risks of recruitment and responsibility for crimes.
In case of suspicion, you should talk to the child quietly, do not press, as well as preserve the evidence (screenshots, references to the accounts) and contact the Cyber Police or the SBU.
The role of teachers in counteracting recruitment
Educators can help you conduct media literacy, critical thinking and safe behavior on the Internet. It is also important to create a safe space in which children will be able to share suspicious situations and cooperate with parents and law enforcement.
