A 15-year-old boy and girl set off explosions near police stations in Kharkiv, working under the direction of Russian special services. According to the Security Service of Ukraine, the teenagers were recruited through online forums promising quick money.
The boy assembled the explosives according to instructions provided by Russian agents, and the girl retrieved the finished explosives from the cache. They left them in garbage containers near two regional police stations, next to which they placed mobile phones to videotape the moment of the explosion.

Fortunately, the explosions did not result in any casualties, but the SBU has already opened a criminal case. The teenagers face up to 12 years in prison for attempting to organize terrorist attacks.
This is another example of how Russian special services are trying to influence young people by using the Internet and promising financial benefits for committing terrorist acts. The SBU is continuing its investigation and is working to find other possible recruits.
