The Security Service of Ukraine announced the suspicion of the 36-year-old daughter of the former mayor of Poltava in cooperation with the Russian Federation. According to the investigation, the woman, while in Kyiv, remotely managed an advertising agency in St. Petersburg, which participated in the PR campaign of the United Russia party during the Russian elections in 2022 and 2023. She is suspected of using her company's advertising stands for pro-Kremlin campaigning before the elections.
During this cooperation with the Russian party, the suspect illegally earned more than 35 million Russian rubles, part of which was transferred to her accounts in the form of dividends.
During searches of the detainee's apartment and offices, computer equipment, mobile phones and financial documents related to cooperation with the Russian Federation were found. All her property, including 3 apartments in Kyiv, a car and shares in Ukrainian companies, was seized. It was valued at more than 270 million hryvnias.
The suspect is currently in custody without bail. She faces up to 12 years in prison. The pre-trial investigation is conducted by the Security Service of Ukraine under the leadership of the Prosecutor General's Office.
Law enforcement officers do not disclose the personal data of the detained woman, however, according to some media, it is Nataliya Veretenikova, also known as Nataliya Mamai, who, according to predictions, is the daughter of the former mayor of Poltava Oleksandr Mamai.
Natalya's father, Oleksandr Mamai, is known for his pro-Russian position and legal problems related to the embezzlement of property and causing damage due to abuse of office. The court sentenced him to five years in prison, but due to an agreement with the investigation, he did not have to serve the sentence.
