On May 26, the Supreme Anti -Corruption Court elected a measure of restraint by the judge of the Western Economic Court of Appeal, Irina Maleh. The suspect of corruption with other high -ranking judges was obliged to pay 3 million UAH of bail, and also put a number of procedural responsibilities on it - in particular, wearing an electronic bracelet.
Anti -corruption bodies are suspected of Irina Maleh of involvement in the extortion and receipt of a bribe together with the former chairman of the Western Economic Court of Appeal Boris Plotnitsky and two excluders of the Commercial Court of Lviv region - Vasyl Artimovich and Mikhail Yurkevich. According to the investigation, Maleh received $ 20,000 for making a court decision in a case concerning the Esclab medical network.
The prosecutor's office was insisted on a more severe preventive measure - a pledge of 15 million 140 thousand UAH. However, the GRP (the High Council of Justice) has not previously agreed to detention Malech, which limited the possibility of the court. The judge's defenders asked to choose a personal obligation, calling even 3 million an "excessive amount" for the suspect.
Nevertheless, the court found it appropriate to apply the financial measure of restraint, taking into account the gravity of the prosecution. Irina Maleh was removed from justice by June 9, 2025 in accordance with the decision of the High Council of Justice.
This proceeding is part of a high -profile corruption case in the judicial system of the West of Ukraine, where the amount of a possible bribe is $ 1 million. According to the investigation, the organizers of the corruption scheme were Plotnitsky and Artimovich, and Irina Maleh was a direct executor of illegal influence on court decisions.
