Igor Grinkevich, one of the most mentioned suppliers of the Ministry of Defense in the high -profile investigations of recent years, will remain on the pledge of UAH 156 million at least by August. The corresponding decision was made by the Shevchenkivsky District Court of Kyiv on June 16.
Grinkevich takes place in the case under Article 369 (369 of the Criminal Code - it is an attempt to bribe the official. According to the investigation, the businessman offered a bribe of half a million US dollars to the DBR employee to influence the course of the investigation.
Since the opening of criminal proceedings in 2023 (No. 6202300000000001135), the amount of collateral, which was chosen as a preventive measure, has been repeatedly reviewed. At first it exceeded UAH 300 million. Subsequently, it was reduced in stages - to 296 million, then up to 218 million, and then - up to 157 million. It is currently 156 million.
Grinkevich's protection systematically seeks to reduce the amount of collateral, citing the circumstances of the case, the state of health and the economic situation. As of mid -2025, lawyers have almost doubled.
Despite the prosecution of the bribery of a law enforcement officer, the court has not yet applied any other precautionary measure other than collateral. Although prosecutors have repeatedly insisted on harsher conditions, such as house arrest or wearing an electronic bracelet, the court was limited to cash.
Igor Grinkevich is not only in this case. His name was already sounded in the context of scandals related to defensive contracts. However, the fact that the DBR employee's bribery was made is revealing - both because of the amounts that appear and because of a gradual change in the court's position on the amount of collateral.
The investigation is ongoing, and consideration of the further fate of the preventive measure is scheduled for August. It is possible that protection will again require a decrease in the pledge or replace it with a softer shape. However, the final word is by court.
