The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to extend the preferential electricity tariffs for the population until the end of April next year. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal in his Telegram channel.
"The government continues the preferential price for electricity for the population until the end of April next year," the Prime Minister said. For household consumers, the price of electricity will remain at the level of UAH 2.64 per kWh. This decision is aimed at avoiding an increase in the financial burden for citizens during the heating season.
We would like to remind you that since July 1, electricity tariffs for businesses have been significantly increased in Ukraine. However, the preferential price remains stable for the population.
Ukrenergo also recently announced the involvement of emergency aid from Slovakia, Romania and Poland to balance the Ukrainian energy system and avoid blackouts. At the moment, consumption limits are not introduced in Ukraine, and there are no shutdown schedules.
