After attacks on Naftogaz Ukraine is forced to import a billion cubic meter of gas

Despite the constant shelling and significant losses of infrastructure, Naftogaz group has already resumed 50% of gas production lost due to the enemy's blows in February this year. This was reported in the press service of the company.

According to Naftogaz, the current heating season has become the hardest time for a full -scale war. In just the first three months of 2025, the enemy made more than eight massive attacks using drones and rockets. More than 100 direct hits were recorded in the company's objects.

One of the most powerful attacks was the one on March 28. The Russian troops were then hit by energy infrastructure, causing damage to gas -producing facilities.

This blow has become the eighteenth in Naftogaz facilities since the beginning of a full -scale war and eighth in 2025. Each of the attacks has consequences not only for the company, but also for the overall energy stability of Ukraine.

Despite the efforts of recovery, the company is recognized: without imports of gas can not do. For a stable passing of the next heating season, Ukraine has to buy at least 1 billion cubic meters of blue fuel abroad.

The Government and Naftogaz are already working on finding sources of financing and forming strategic stocks. Priority is to maximize the losses, avoid deficiency and provide heat in the homes of Ukrainians.
