After the attacks of "Shakheds" in Sumy Oblast, energy facilities of two cities were damaged

At night, explosions rang out in Sumy Oblast and Poltava Oblast as a result of a drone attack launched by the occupiers. The Ukrainian Air Force successfully shot down all 24 Shahed-131/136 type attack drones launched by the enemy from the regions of Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Kursk, as well as temporarily occupied Crimea.

The actions of defenders were successful in six regions - Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Sumy and Odesa. Seven enemy drones were destroyed in Sumy Oblast.

During the attack, the occupiers also attacked the energy infrastructure, leading to a complete blackout of the electricity supply in Sumy. However, energy workers managed to restore electricity supply in Sumy, Romen and Okhtyr districts.

This has been going on for almost three months, when the main targets of drone attacks are energy facilities. Russian forces are trying to weaken the support of the Ukrainian army before the expected offensive.

The next measure of the authorities is a schedule of electricity restrictions across the country, which provides for hourly shutdowns for industrial and domestic consumers from 00:00 to 07:00 and from 18:00 to 24:00, provided that electricity consumption increases.
