On Wednesday, January 7, no severe frosts are expected in Ukraine, but precipitation is forecasted almost throughout the country. The weather will be unstable: a slight "minus" and snow will prevail in the west, while in the central, southern and eastern regions, plus temperatures with rain and sleet will persist.
The weather in Kyiv will remain cloudy throughout the day. The air temperature will drop to -2° at night, and will be around 0° during the day. Wet snow with rain is expected.
In western Ukraine, real winter weather is forecast. In Lviv, Lutsk, Rivne, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Uzhhorod, and Chernivtsi, it will be cloudy, with temperatures down to -5° at night and around -1° during the day. In most of these regions, forecasters are warning of snowfall, heavy in places.
In Vinnytsia, the temperature will range from -3° at night to +1° during the day, with wet snow and rain expected. In Zhytomyr, snow is forecast at temperatures from -3° to -1°. In Chernihiv, it will also be cloudy, with wet snow and rain, with temperatures from -3° to +1°.
The central regions will remain in the zone of plus temperatures. In Cherkasy, the air will warm up from +2° at night to +4° during the day, rain is expected. In Kropyvnytskyi it will be even warmer - up to +7° during the day, precipitation is also forecast. In Poltava, the temperature will be +2°…+4°, with rain.
In the south of the country, relatively warm and humid weather will persist. In Odessa, Kherson and Mykolaiv, the forecast is about +5° at night, up to +9° during the day, cloudy and rainy. In Zaporizhia, the temperature will rise to +7°, light rain is possible.
In eastern Ukraine, cloudy weather with precipitation will prevail. In Sumy, wet snow and rain are expected at a temperature of +2°…+4°. In Kharkiv, it will be +3° at night and up to +5° during the day, with light rain in places. In Dnipro, +2°…+7° and rain are forecast. In Kramatorsk and Severodonetsk, it will also be cloudy, with temperatures from 0° to +4°.
In Simferopol, weather forecasters predict cloudy weather with rain and air temperature of +8°…+10°.
