In the case of Mayor Mukachevo, the property of one of the defendants was seized

The anti-corruption court in Ukraine made a decision to seize the property of one of the participants in the case of Mayor Mukachevo, which has a significant impact on the further consideration of the case and the investigation of corruption.

Serhiy Fila, co-owner of Binom-Group LLC, who is accused of involvement in the case of Mukachevo Mayor Andrii Baloga, has had his property seized by the High Anti-Corruption Court. One of the key activities of the company was the valuation of the land plot under the Avangard stadium, which became the central point in the case.

Such a decision was made by VAX on June 28.

"The petition of the NABU senior detective to seize property is to be partially granted. To seize the property belonging to (Serhiy Filyu - ed.) (with temporary deprivation of the owner's (possessor's) right to alienation and disposition) ," the decision reads.

In particular, the court seized a plot of land with an area of 0.2634 hectares in Poltava; cars Volkswagen E-Golf 2018, Dacia Logan 2005 and Nissan Juke 2012; 50% share in the authorized capital of "Forex Consulting Company" LLC; 50% share in the authorized capital of "Binom Group" LLC (YEDRPOU- 38377892); 100% corporate rights of PE "GEOSFERA-A" and five accounts in PrivatBank, Ukrgasbank, Idea Bank, Raiffeisen Bank and Taskombank.

We will remind you that NABU and SAP detained the mayor of Mukachevo, Andrii Baloga, and former People's Deputy Mykhailo Lanyo. According to the investigation, the mayor of Mukachevo secured the adoption at the city council session of the decision to sell the plot at an almost 9 times lower price to a private company, the actual controller of which is the head of the district council, former People's Deputy Mykhailo Lanyo.

The basis for this was an expert monetary assessment with an understated value of the plot, for which the owners of the appraising company were given a bribe. As a result of such arrangements, land with a market value of UAH 84.6 million was sold for only UAH 9.6 million.

Despite such a meager price, the mayor made a personal decision and granted the company a 6-month installment payment. Losses to the territorial community amount to UAH 74.9 million. They were later informed of the suspicion.
