The Office of the Prosecutor General submitted to the court an indictment on the former chief of the Main Directorate of the State Tax Service in Ternopil Oblast. He is charged with deliberately false information to the declarations for 2022 and 2023. The amount of "forgotten" property reached more than UAH 23.4 million.

As the specialists of the NAPC established during the inspection, in the declaration for 2022 the official did not specify the property for more than UAH 13.7 million, and for 2023 - for more than UAH 9.7 million. It is, in particular, about two residential buildings near Ternopil with an area of 290.6 square meters and 64.6 square meters, which are decorated for his mother, but are actually used by him and his family members. In addition, he did not declare the land on which these houses are located.
The law requires the declaration of not only property, but also one that is used or used by the official or his or her family. Thus, according to two episodes of the ex-official, the offenses under Art. 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (declaration of false information).
The indictment has already been sent to court. If the guilt is proven, the person involved is threatened with a fine or restriction of liberty with deprivation of the right to occupy positions in state bodies for a fixed term.
