Podolyak told what he thinks about "peace plans"

Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, expressed his opinion about the "peace plans" that are often proposed in the international arena. He noted that the main problem of such initiatives is not only their contradiction with Ukrainian aspirations, but also their categorical impossibility.

"They contradict the basic logic: the aggressor not losing only encourages him to continue his expansion," explained Podolyak. He emphasized that such peace initiatives encourage Ukraine to recognize the illogical thesis that the downing of NATO missiles can exacerbate the conflict.

Podolyak noted ironically that proposals to "appease the aggressor" could lead to an increase in his aggressiveness. "Do the engineers of illogical diplomatic structures that precisely encourage the aggressor to raise the genocidal stakes deserve respect?" he asked rhetorically.

This year, Brazil and China presented a plan to end the war in Ukraine, which does not include the withdrawal of Russian troops or the punishment of war criminals. Podolyak emphasized that such an approach does not take into account the security interests of Ukraine and Europe, which raises reasonable doubts about its expediency.

He called for a more decisive approach in international politics, which would leave no room for compromises to the detriment of Ukraine's sovereignty.
