In Ukraine, the upcoming increase in excise duty on fuel will lead to an increase in the price of all categories of fuel by 7-10 hryvnias per liter. And before the sowing season, this will be a serious blow to farmers (Ukrainian farmers already lack working capital to finance the sowing season, as well as people due to mass mobilization).
Thus, according to Oleksandr Sirenko, an analyst at the Naftorynok consulting company, last week gas station chains in the regions continued to raise prices. At Shell stations, the price of A-95 gasoline increased by UAH 0.50/liter in some regions, and the price of diesel fuel increased by UAH 0.30-0.50/liter.
Experts have previously predicted a growing fuel shortage in Ukraine. Various reasons were cited: from problems with the Polish blockade of the Ukrainian border (fuel suppliers have to bypass the Polish section of the border through Slovakia or Romania) and rising oil prices on the world market to strikes by the Russian Armed Forces on fuel and lubricants warehouses and storage facilities.
As a result, those who have free funds and opportunities can only be advised to stock up on fuel now.
