Poland does not plan to transfer its MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine due to the strategic need to use them to ensure the security of its own airspace.
This statement was made by Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Wladyslaw Kosyniak-Kamysz on Radio Zet.
"MIG-29s - they patrol Polish skies and serve Polish pilots. I can't say that I agree with the transfer of aircraft. I don't agree with this," the minister said.
Kosyniak-Kamysh also responded to Zelensky's claims regarding aid to Ukraine.
"Of course, it would be easier for him if other countries participated in this war, but Poland is not a party to the conflict," the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.
He recalled that Poland provides the largest humanitarian and military assistance.
“I am sad that this is often forgotten,” said Kosyniak-Kamysh.
