Deputy Speaker of the Polish Sejm and leader of the nationalist party Ruch Narodowy Krzysztof Bosak stated that Polish security structures support the idea of introducing a visa regime with Ukraine and a number of other states.
In his post in X, the politician commented on the news about the detention of a 36-year-old Ukrainian citizen, who is suspected of entering a deep well in the Tricity landscape park and damaging water supply and electricity distribution equipment.
“ Unofficially, police and intelligence officers would like to restore the visa regime with many countries, including Ukraine. But the politicians of the PiS-PO-PSL-Lewica cartel with the short-term participation of PL2050 ignore their voice and do not provide sufficient tools to control mass multicultural immigration from the post-Soviet region, which is a natural Russian-speaking springboard for Russian intelligence services ,” said Bosak.
By PiS, the politician means the Law and Justice party, PO means the Civic Platform, PSL means the Polish People's Party, PL2050 means Poland 2050, and Lewica means the union of center-left parties.
Context:
Polish Interior Minister Czesław Mroczek previously confirmed that the government is preparing an official request to the Schengen zone countries with a proposal to cancel the visa-free regime for citizens of several countries. According to media reports, the preliminary target is Georgia, Armenia, Venezuela and Colombia. The reason is the increase in criminal activity of migrants from these countries in Poland.
Ukraine was not officially included in this list, but statements about possible threats to visa-free travel due to individual cases of crimes or the activities of Russian agents under the cover of Ukrainian citizenship appear in the Polish media from time to time.
In previous years, Polish special services have repeatedly reported the detention of Ukrainian citizens who, according to investigators, were acting in the interests of Russian special services. One of these individuals was suspected of preparing sabotage, including the arson of a Polish factory.
