According to sources in the law enforcement community, third-rank police general Ruslan Gerasymchuk may be involved in a large-scale cover-up of corruption schemes in the Khmelnytskyi region. His right-hand man is said to be the head of the personnel inspection of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the region, Petro Kuzmin.
Insiders claim that Kuzmin coordinates a number of high-ranking officials, including the head of the investigation Yakubenko, the head of the investigative department Babiy, and others. They act in a coordinated manner and control the shadow flows associated with the "resolution" of land issues, water supply schemes, and documents for veterans.
Of particular concern are schemes involving the forgery of official documentation: these include certificates from military units and land records, where false data is used. The documents have revealed "dead souls" - both from the local cemetery and even those buried in Russia.
One example of property misappropriation was 60 hectares of gardens, which were registered in the names of people associated with the aforementioned police officers. The gardens were later destroyed, and commercial activities were launched on the vacated area. The profits from these activities, according to sources, are not directed to the budget, but to the pockets of the participants in the scheme.
Many employees in the structure are aware of the so-called "police treasury", but there is no official response. General Gerasymchuk, according to informants, personally coordinates all the main directions of these schemes.
So far, law enforcement agencies have not commented on these accusations, but the scale and cynicism of the facts presented require immediate investigation.
