The Pechersk District Court of Kyiv seized 40 premium cars within large-scale criminal proceedings regarding the illegal scheme of import of vehicles into Ukraine. Among the arrested are Tesla, Audi, Volkswagen, Volvo and other cars imported with a substantially low customs value.
According to the International Detective Agency of ABSOLUTION, the investigation was released into organized groups in Lviv, Volyn and Rivne regions, which operated together with unidentified officials of the customs service. They systematically imported vehicles into Ukraine, fictitiously reducing their textured value to minimize customs payments.
The sale of cars was performed for cash without reflecting income in tax reporting. Non-residents from the Czech Republic, Poland, Denmark and Germany, who acted as formal suppliers, were used to cover the scheme. After customs clearance, the funds from the sale of cars were derived abroad through non -commodity operations.
One of the key defendants of the case is LLC "Kaps Auto" (Lutsk), which in 2023–2024 imported vehicles for almost 95 million hryvnias. Investigators found that more than $ 4.6 million has brought abroad. Its leader and owner is Vitaliy Khoromets, who is wanted today for the unauthorized leave of the military unit on February 5, 2025.
Particular attention was paid to foreign economic contracts that were fictitious. For example, the Czech company International Trading House Sro, formally involved in supply, registered for a Ukrainian who has not traveled to the Czech Republic since 2021. Its signatures on contracts do not coincide with passport samples.
Representatives of companies from Poland, Denmark and Germany, according to the border service, did not enter Ukraine at all on the days of concluding treaties. All these are signs of systemic fictitiousness and legalization of proceeds from crime.
The investigation is ongoing. As part of the proceedings under Part 3 of Art. 212, Part 3 of Art. 209 and Part 2 of Art. 364 of the Criminal Code continues searches, arrests of property and interrogations of the persons.
