A new sociological survey conducted in the USA has shown that a large part of Americans support ending the war in Ukraine as soon as possible. About 50% of respondents believe that it is necessary to intensify efforts aimed at ending the conflict, even if it meant certain concessions on the part of Ukraine.
50% of those polled by the Gallup company said that it is necessary to "achieve a quick end to the conflict, even if it means that Ukraine will not return all its lands." In the summer of 2022, there were 31% of them.
At the same time, 48% are in favor of continuing to help Ukraine win back territories (it was 66%).
"This marks a departure from previous surveys in which a majority of Americans supported the fight for an outright victory," Gallup said in a release.
Also, the largest share of respondents - 37% - believe that the USA gives "too much" to Ukraine. Those who are sure that the current supply is enough or too little turned out to be less (31% and 30%).
There are more supporters of a quick end to the war among Republicans.
At the same time, 68% of the adult population of the USA say that neither Russia nor Ukraine will currently win the war.
Earlier, the Reagan Institute conducted a survey according to which 59% of Americans are in favor of Ukraine's negotiations with Russia at the price of Kyiv ceding its territories.
