Polish farmers blocked the movement of Ukrainian trucks at the Medika-Shehyni checkpoint until the end of the year

Tensions on the Polish-Ukrainian border have reached a new level: Polish farmers have organized a blockade of Ukrainian trucks near the Medika-Shegyny checkpoint.

According to the State Customs Service of Ukraine, the blocking occurs "through the constant movement of citizens through a pedestrian crossing in front of the checkpoint on the Polish side.".

The agency recalls that the Poles were going to allow one truck per hour into Ukraine, and only allow vehicles weighing less than 3.5 tons to pass through. Large trucks will not be able to pass through to Poland.

The protesters did not intend to restrict the movement of buses and cars in both directions.

The blocking period is tentatively until the end of the year.
