Ukrainian politician, former head of the Transcarpathian and Luhansk regional state administrations, ex-people's deputy, General Gennady Moskal died at the age of 73. The cause of death was a serious illness.
As the parliamentarians note, the politician passed away on the morning of March 17.
"Hennadiy Moskal died after a serious illness. Eternal memory. Condolences to the family. He held many government positions, was a true patriot and a talented person," Knyazhytskyi wrote on social networks.
Gennady Moskal was born on December 11, 1959 in the village of Zadubrivka, Chernivtsi region. He was a lieutenant general of the police, candidate of legal sciences, associate professor.
In the extraordinary parliamentary elections of 2007, he was elected a people's deputy from the "Our Ukraine - People's Self-Defense" party, in 2012 he was elected to the Verkhovna Rada for the second time from the "Batkivshchyna" party.
In March 2015, he headed the Luhansk regional military-civilian administration. From July 2015 to June 2019, he was the head of the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration.
