More than 1,736 children were injured in Ukraine as a result of Russian aggression - ODP

Children in the Donetsk, Kharkiv, Kherson, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv and Zaporizhia regions suffered the most as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation.

According to the information of the Prosecutor General's Office posted in Telegram, the occupiers killed and injured Ukrainian children. In particular, on the morning of January 27, 2024, more than 1,736 children were injured, 521 of them died, and more than 1,215 were injured of various degrees of severity.

These figures, according to the official information of juvenile prosecutors, are preliminary, and work is ongoing to establish accurate data in the places of hostilities, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories.

The most affected children were in Donetsk Oblast (505), Kharkiv Oblast (326), Kherson Oblast (146), Kyiv Oblast (130), Dnipropetrovsk Oblast (111), Mykolaiv Oblast (101), and Zaporizhia Oblast (100). Also, high indicators were recorded in Chernihiv (72) and Luhansk (67) regions.

We will remind you that the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe adopted a resolution concerning the situation of Ukrainian children, both those who are abducted and sought to be deprived of their identity by Russia, and those who find refuge in the European Union.
