More than 17,000 Ukrainians have declared income over a million

In 2024, more than 17,000 Ukrainians declared more than 1 million hryvnias, which is 63% more than last year. This was reported by the State Tax Service of Ukraine.

The total amount of income declared by millionaires reached UAH 253.6 billion, and tax liabilities on the results of declarations - UAH 8.7 billion.

In total, Ukrainians declared UAH 326 billion in income last year-107 billion more than in 2023.

According to Ruslan Kravchenko, a record amount of tax liabilities was declared by one Kiev resident - more than UAH 4.6 billion, including personal income tax and military levy.

Residents of the following regions declared the most income:

  • Kyiv is 156 billion UAH

  • Dnipropetrovsk region - almost 30 billion UAH

  • Lviv region - UAH 18.2 billion

  • Kyiv region - UAH 17.5 billion

Among the sources of income that citizens most often stated in declarations:

  • Foreign income - UAH 34.2 billion

  • Heritage and gift - UAH 13.6 billion

  • Sale of property - 6.8 billion UAH

  • Investments - UAH 4.9 billion

  • Rent of property - UAH 3.4 billion

The DPS emphasizes that positive dynamics indicates an increase in voluntary tax discipline among citizens, as well as an increase in transparency of income even in martial law.
