Last week, the prices of a number of vegetables in Ukraine increased significantly, which is due to weather conditions and seasonal factors. The maximum price for carrots has increased to 15 hryvnias per kilogram, while a week ago it was 13 hryvnias.
Heavy rains in the southern regions also affected onion prices, which rose from UAH 13 to UAH 15/kg. In connection with the increased demand, the price of potatoes has also increased — from UAH 10-13/kg to UAH 14-18/kg.

Oleksandr Taranenko, the vice-president of the All-Ukrainian Association of Bakers, warns that bread prices may rise in the coming months due to higher prices of raw materials and electricity. The increase in butter prices in Ukraine is also expected against the background of the rising price of this product in Europe. If foreign trade will soon experience a drop in prices, prices in the domestic market, according to forecasts, will only increase.
