In 2024, Ukrainians purchased more than 222,100 used cars imported from abroad. This is 4% more than a year earlier, the "UkrAvtoprom" portal reports.
Gasoline cars turned out to be the most popular among used cars imported from abroad. Their share was 47%. Diesel cars were in second place (25%), electric cars were in third place (18%). Cars with HBO and hybrids accounted for 5% each.
The most popular model among imported second-hand cars remains the Volkswagen Golf. Renault Mégane and Škoda Octavia are also traditionally very popular.

The average age of used cars that were transferred to Ukrainian registration in 2024 was 9 years.

Previously, specialists named 5 used cars that are better to avoid. In their opinion, you should not buy the Fiat 500, Ford Escape, Volkswagen Eos and Chrysler 200. Among the main problems of these cars are problems with reliability. Also, experts advise to be careful when buying BMW models, because they are very expensive to maintain.
For those looking for a reliable used car, experts recommend such models as Toyota Camry, Honda Accord and Subaru Outback. Among other things, they can boast of high safety indicators.
