Poroshenko is preparing for the elections

Petro Poroshenko publicly calls for shifting the economy to military tracks in order to focus state efforts on supporting defense. At the same time, he demands an end to pre-election rhetoric, pointing out the dangers of political struggle during wartime. But are these statements really sincere?

Behind the scenes of his public appearances, Petro Oleksiyovych seems to act differently. The politician is actively working on creating his own influence structure. One of the steps is the launch of a national program to support veterans through his foundation . This project aims to help veterans of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but critics point out that the foundation may become a cover for forming a political base among veterans and the military.

Even more alarming is the information about the creation of “our own army.” This refers to the training of a group consisting of professional guards and combatants. Such actions raise the question: is this concern for the country, or preparation for a future struggle for power?

Election intentions during the war

Poroshenko is calling on other political forces to abandon pre-election rhetoric, but he is actively working to mobilize his resources. Creating a fund, training veterans, and forming new structures — all of this could be part of the politician's strategy for the upcoming elections.

Experts believe that using the topic of supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine and veterans to strengthen one's own influence is an ambiguous step. On the one hand, it can really help many people, but on the other, it creates a risk that charitable projects will become a tool of political propaganda.

Poroshenko already has a reputation for combining noble ideas with personal interests. But such moves could backfire. In a society at war, excessive ambition and attempts to manipulate patriotic sentiments could provoke outrage.

Ukraine today needs unity and clear actions aimed at protecting the state. Political games and preparations for a power struggle in such a difficult time can become a serious threat to the country's stability.
