Significant personnel changes may occur in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in the near future. "Ukrainska Pravda" reports on the potential resignations of several high-ranking officials, citing sources in the "Servant of the People" faction.
The issue is the possible dismissal of the Minister of Education and Science, Oksen Lisovyi. According to the publication's interlocutors, Lisovyi has been in conflict with parliamentarians and some educators for a long time over a complex reform of the consolidation of educational institutions. This reform has caused significant opposition in the regions, and the minister's political allies are increasingly questioning his ability to continue working in the face of a crisis of confidence.
The position of Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine - Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba is also under question. The Servant of the People faction associates his possible resignation with "de-Yermakization" - an internal political initiative aimed at removing from influence individuals who are associated with the former head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak. According to sources, some deputies believe that Kuleba may be involved in the so-called "Mindich films" and should not remain in the executive branch.
Ruslan Magomedov, the head of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission and Andriy Yermak's godfather, is also under threat of dismissal. A group of deputies has formed in the Verkhovna Rada who insist on the need to "cleanse" the former team of the head of the OP, including the heads of local administrations, from the influence.
Among the regional leaders who may be asked to leave are the heads of regional military administrations associated with Yermak, including Oleh Kiper in Odessa and Volodymyr Kohut in Poltava.
According to sources, the need for large-scale personnel decisions is due to the desire to update the management vertical and distance state institutions from political corruption scandals that have caused reputational losses to the government team. It is expected that the coming weeks may become decisive in determining the new balance of power in the executive branch.
