In the afternoon of March 3, Telegram channels reported on the fire that broke out in Kyiv. Initially, it was reported that the fire occurred on the territory of the Oleksandr Dovzhenko Film Studio. However, representatives of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service (SES) in the city of Kyiv released other information.
Mass media reported that the fire happened on the territory of the film studio. But the State Emergency Service of Kyiv denied this information, claiming that the fire occurred in a separate detached building.
According to the State Emergency Service, on March 3 at 11:38 a.m., a report was received about a fire on Oleksandr Dovzhenka Street, in Shevchenkivsky District. After rescuers arrived at the scene, it was established that the fire broke out in a separate detached building.
The fire started in the abandoned buildings next to the film studio. According to rescuers, the probable cause of the fire could be homeless people.
The fire was contained at 11:50 a.m. and extinguished at 12:03 p.m. 10 rescuers and 2 units of basic fire-rescue equipment worked on the spot.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the fire. Law enforcement agencies are investigating to determine the cause of the fire.
