The National Agency for Corruption Prevention has completed the verification of the declarations of the People's Deputy from the "Servant of the People" party, Yevhen Petrunyak, and revealed inaccurate information worth millions of hryvnias.
During the audit of the 2022 declaration, the NACP found discrepancies of over UAH 7.3 million. Another UAH 3.6 million of unreliable data was found in the 2023 declaration.
The key violation is the concealment of $100,000 received as an advance payment for the sale of a house in the village of Zubra near Lviv. According to the agency, the deal involves a total value of $1 million, of which the buyer paid part of the funds in 2022 and 2023, and plans to transfer the rest by 2027.
In addition, Petrunyak indicated an underestimated area of the apartment in Spain purchased by his wife in 2022 - 130.8 sq m instead of the actual 185 sq m.
The NACP also raised questions about the financial assets of the MP's wife - over a million Polish zlotys, which she made as a down payment to Polish construction companies, and over $30,000 in accounts in Polish banks. The couple did not provide documents confirming the sources of these funds.
In 2024, the MP's family spent UAH 3 million on purchasing new cars, and his wife hid income from independent professional activities. In total, in 2023, the couple declared UAH 5.4 million in income.
The NACP's conclusion regarding inaccurate data worth UAH 3.6 million has been forwarded to the Prosecutor General's Office. Petrunyak's actions may contain signs of a crime under Part 1 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - declaring inaccurate information.
Before being elected to parliament, Yevhen Petrunyak had about 20 years of experience in the legal profession, headed the law firm “Lex-K” and ran for the Lviv City Council. In the Verkhovna Rada, he works as part of the “Servant of the People” faction.
