President Poland: Only Trump is able to stop Putin

Polish President Andrzej Duda said that Donald Trump is the only world leader who has the chance to force Russia to stop aggression against Ukraine. He said this in an interview with the British Sky News .

According to Duda, European leaders were defeated in attempts to reach peace through the Minsk agreements. Now the hopes are rely on the former US President, who returned to power after the 2024 elections.

"If someone is able to force Russia to end the war, then it is most likely only the President of the United States Donald Trump," Duda said.

He also stressed that it is not only about the cessation of hostilities, but about the creation of a just and long peace, especially for Eastern European countries, which border on the Russian zone of influence.

In addition, Duda confirmed his intentions to strengthen the US military presence in Poland. The President recalled the idea of creating a great American military base, which was at one time dubbed Fort Trump.

“We discussed the strengthening of American presence in Poland, and I mentioned the idea of creating a huge base of American troops. Then we called it "fortress Trump." I still hope that this idea will be realized, ”the Polish leader said.

Against the backdrop of these statements, discussions on the possible redeployment of troops in Eastern Europe are ongoing in the United States. Currently, it is not about reducing the number of contingent, but the final decision has not yet been made.
