To date, the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, has stated the complexity of the scenarios that could lead to the end of the war in Ukraine. His comments were made in the context of the ongoing conflict with Russia and its supporters in the east of the country.
Kyrylo Budanov during an online lecture for students of the "Senior Executive Fellows" program of the School of Management named after John F. Kennedy of Harvard University emphasized that Russia's war against Ukraine shows the destruction of the world order established after the Second World War.
According to his conviction, the destructive effect of Kremlin propaganda inside Russia can be overcome only with the help of a force majeure situation or very long systematic work that can bring results only after a few decades. He also expressed his commitment to an inseparable approach of force and diplomacy in the confrontation with an aggressive Russia.
At the same time, Budanov said that none of the previously proposed scenarios - neither Korean, nor Moldovan, nor German - will work in Ukraine. "This must be stopped once and for all. Today, there are all signs of the destruction of the world order created after the Second World War. And Russia's war against Ukraine is a vivid testimony of how one person undermined the world security system," said Budanov. According to him, either the Russian Federation will be forced to return to the world order that existed and satisfied everyone for many years, or the time has come for a new world order.
