The ex-minister of social policy, Pavlo Rozenko, is concerned about the Ukrainian infrastructure, which has fallen into disrepair and is not ready for a long-term war . The authorities should take this into account and direct their efforts more towards it.
Currently, there are more than 700 health care facilities in the whole country, which were destroyed as a result of the war, Rozenko notes.
"Undoubtedly, all this leads to the deterioration of the quality of services, including social and medical services. Therefore, the authorities should take this into account and develop other systems, let's say, of helping people and focus their efforts more on this. For now, we cannot quickly rebuild the infrastructure, but it must be done. The authorities need to develop an alternative sphere of social services, the provision of social medical services at home for people," he explained.
Such a situation is observed in other areas as well, therefore, in the conditions of large-scale destruction of infrastructure, the authorities should already deal with this problem. He notes that there are "cities and there are regions that today are more or less normally protected by anti-aircraft defense", and there it would be appropriate to invest in the development and restoration of infrastructure.
According to the ex-minister, the war is just the right time to do normal planning, normal infrastructure, and see the future of the state's development while the hostilities are going on.
