In the years 2021-2023, violations were detected among officials of JSC Kyivvodokanal, which led to large financial losses. The Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office sent to court four criminal proceedings in the amount of 67 million hryvnias, related to negligence, embezzlement and obtaining of illegal benefits.
The proceedings include charges against nine people, including the former head of Kyivvodokanal PJSC, heads of divisions and departments, as well as representatives of local authorities and contracting companies. In 2023, the authorities of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office referred 4 criminal proceedings against 9 people to court, including 1 former manager of Kyivvodokanal PrJSC, 2 heads of departments, 1 head of department and 1 engineer of PrJSC department, 2 heads of Departments of KMDA, as well as 2 managers business entities - contractors. In general, recorded losses amount to over 67 million hryvnias.
In addition, there are five more investigations where responsibility for the loss of funds in the company is determined. Currently, investigations are ongoing into two criminal proceedings, where the former general director and the director of the capital construction department of PJSC "AK Kyivvodokanal" became the object of suspicion.
A total of three pre-trial investigations into the appropriation of funds in the amount of 322 million hryvnias are ongoing.
