Sold for half price: how the hospital was handed over to the company of the Kyivmiskbud Exit

In the center of Kiev, a conflict around the building of the former balneological hospital on Hetman Pavel Polubotok, 34. She tries to judge Kyivinvest LLC, owned by Ilya Kushnir, the son of the former chairman of Kyivmiskbud, Igor Kushnir. In 2024, the hospital was transferred to the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense as an object required for the needs of the state.

However, Kyivinvest states that it has the right to ownership of this building - however, the right is serious.

Purchase for half -price and land bypassing the law

According to the State Bureau of Investigation, Kyivinvest LLC purchased a building from the structures of the Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine at a clear price - UAH 74.3 million instead of market UAH 138.3 million. This Agreement became one of the grounds for further investigative actions.

Equally scandalous was the decision of the Kyiv City Council, which in 2024 leased a land plot of more than 1.5 hectares under a medical institution. The land that was used solely for health needs was allowed for reconstruction with the possibility of using buildings for commercial purposes.

According to Kyivvlada, one of the key figures that contributed to the implementation of the scheme is Petro Olenich, an official who is already in the investigation into Komarnitsky's case.

GUR against the developer

The General Directorate of Intelligence insists on the legitimate alienation of the object and its strategic sense. The Office already uses part of the building for its own needs and protects the right to its further use in court.

The trial is ongoing, but the situation has already become an indicative story about how, through connections and schemes, businesses are trying to regain objects that should serve the state. Especially in war, when every strategic resource is critical.
