January continues to surprise Ukrainians with its unusual mildness. Today, January 21, the temperature in the country will drop by several degrees, but will remain comfortable, as for the middle of winter. In most regions, thermometers will show 0°...+3°, in the southern and western regions it will rise to +4°...+5° in some places, and real spring heat is expected in Crimea - up to +8°. The weather will be mostly dry, with no precipitation, which will only emphasize the general calm of the day.
It is cloudy in Kyiv today, but the temperature will not drop below -1° at night and will reach +1° during the day. In the western regions, including Lviv, Lutsk, Rivne and Ivano-Frankivsk, cloudiness with clearing will contribute to a feeling of lightness. The daytime temperature here will range from +2° to +5°, and at night it is expected to be around -1°. The southern regions will meet the day with gloom, but pleasant warmth: Odesa, Kherson and Mykolaiv will stay at +4° during the day and around 0° at night.
In the east of the country, including Kharkiv, Kramatorsk and Severodonetsk, slight cloudiness is forecast, but the temperature will remain moderate: -1°...0° at night, up to +3° during the day. A similar situation will persist in central regions such as Dnipro, Poltava and Cherkasy, where the maximum daytime temperature will not exceed +2°.
The day will be unusually warm for Crimea as well. In Simferopol, the temperature will rise to +8°, and the clear sky will add a feeling of spring in the middle of winter. In general, Ukrainians can enjoy the absence of precipitation and quite comfortable conditions for walking or traveling.
This day once again demonstrates how the climate is changing, and January is turning into a month with increasingly mild weather conditions. Currently, winter frosts look like a distant prospect, giving way to warmth, which is already becoming the norm even in cold seasons.
