According to the forecasts of the Ukrhydrometeorological Center, Ukrainians may not worry about sudden changes in weather conditions or severe frosts during the winter holidays. As forecaster Natalia Ptukha reported, the climatic situation in Ukraine will remain relatively stable in the near future.
"In principle, it's a very similar process to what we have now: we have an atmospheric front with a mixed phase of precipitation, then again a certain cessation of precipitation and slightly cooler nights due to clearings," she said.
As for the temperature, according to the weather forecaster, it will be around zero degrees, maybe a little bit above zero.
"We see that this week the trend is for temperatures to be above zero, and next week it will be somewhere around 0 degrees," the weather expert added.
When asked what the weather might be like on New Year's Eve, the weather forecaster noted that it's a bit too early to say for sure.
“In general, if we look at the beginning of next week, we may have atmospheric processes from the northwest. In principle, they will persist until the end of the month,” said Ptukha.
According to her, alternations are expected: an atmospheric front will pass, then there may be a field of increased pressure again and no precipitation.
But whether there will be snow cover for the holidays depends on the temperature. "If the temperature is slightly below 0, even if it drops by 2 degrees, there will already be snow and snow cover. And if it is higher, everything will fall and melt immediately," the weather forecaster explained.
Frost in Ukraine - forecast
On December 19-20, it will get a little warmer in Ukraine, but on the 20-21st, the air temperature will start to drop again. However, according to the forecast of weather forecaster Natalka Didenko, there will be no severe frosts in Ukraine before Christmas.
