British promoter Ben Shalom expressed his doubts about Tyson Fury's ability to defeat Oleksandr Usyk in the rematch scheduled for December. In the first match, in his opinion, the Ukrainian defeated his opponent without even showing his best boxing.
In an interview with Betfred , quoted by DAZN , Shalom said:
"I always supported Tyson in the first fight, and as a Brit I wanted him to win. But I don't see a way around Oleksandr Usyk."
He also added that Usyk not only confirmed his status as a champion, but also demonstrated that he is capable of dominating even in difficult matches:
"I don't even think it was the best version of Usyk beating Tyson the first time."
According to the promoter, the rematch will be a serious challenge for both boxers:
"I think they'll both be better this time, but given Usyk's history and skill, I have to back him as much as I want Tyson to win."
The rematch between the "gypsy king" Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk will be decisive in the fight for the absolute championship in super heavyweight. Usyk, who already has an impeccable record and is renowned for his technical prowess, is set to prove his superiority.
The first fight between these two stars ended in favor of Usyk, but many experts believe that both athletes still have a lot to show.
