A large-scale violation was discovered among prosecutors in Ukraine: 74 prosecutors were dismissed due to false disabilities, and another 66 were temporarily suspended after an inspection, Prosecutor General Andriy Kravchenko reported.
According to him, several criminal cases against employees who illegally received disabled status are already being considered in the courts. The Prosecutor General emphasized that for many years this topic remained taboo: "Some did not notice the problem, some considered it insignificant, and some took advantage of it."
Kravchenko added that investigations and checks into fake disabilities will continue, and the prosecutor's office intends to ensure full accountability for such abuses. At the same time, he stressed the importance of cleaning up the system and increasing trust in the prosecutor's office.
Experts note that the discovery of false disabilities among law enforcement officers indicates systemic control problems and the need for additional personnel audits to prevent similar violations in the future.
