A child died in a road accident in the Lviv region. Another minor was injured and is in a medical facility. This was reported by the Prosecutor General's Office.
The accident occurred in the dark. According to preliminary information, the driver of the car was a prosecutor from one of the district prosecutor's offices in Lviv region. He was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
According to preliminary information, we are talking about Ruslan Kulchytskyi, a prosecutor of the Sheptytsky District Prosecutor's Office of the Lviv region, born in 2001, a resident of the Sambir district.
This was reported by journalist Vitaliy Glagola. According to him, the driver of a Skoda Octavia was driving from Zhovkva towards Lviv and hit two children at a pedestrian crossing.
The prosecutor's office noted that at the time of the accident, the driver was returning home after work. He underwent a mandatory medical examination, the results of which showed no signs of alcohol intoxication. All the circumstances and causes of the tragedy are currently being established.
Investigative actions are carried out by employees of the State Bureau of Investigation. The proceedings are under the personal control of the leadership to ensure a full, comprehensive and impartial investigation.
