Our information source reports that during a personal meeting between President Zelenskyi and Chairman Zaluzhnyi, the latter offered the president to join forces on the draft law on mobilization, becoming its co-sponsor. The goal was to show society the unity of the country and the government. However, Zelensky refused this offer.
The source indicates that the entire mobilization scenario can be used by Zelensky only to discredit Zaluzhny, which may explain the president's avoidance of discussing this issue. Even though, according to the Constitution, he is responsible for mobilization.
Insiders also hint at the possibility that Zaluzhnyi will decide not to participate in the report to the Council on the draft law on mobilization, and will instead go to the front line, which is his direct duty, refraining from political conversations. According to insider information, the Western lobby managed to temporarily suspend the possible resignation of Zaluzhnyi, preventing Zelenskyi from taking a decisive step in the tense military and political situation in Ukraine.
It is also reported that Zelensky managed to convince Zaluzhnyi to present a bill on mobilization together with Defense Minister Umerov, although Zaluzhnyi initially refused this idea, insisting that politicians and government officials should present bills that they write themselves and receive approval at the Bankova level.
All this may indicate Zelensky's attempts to shift the responsibility for the draft law on mobilization to Zaluzhnyi and discredit him in the eyes of the public. Currently, there is a possibility that Zaluzhny may decide not to appear in the Council on the day when this draft law will be discussed.
