The leading Ukrainian basketball player, 26-year-old defender of the "Kyiv-Basket" team Vadym Zaplotinsky, was detained while trying to cross the border illegally and was mobilized. This was announced by the former president of the Kyiv Basketball Federation, Max Sergeev. The information was confirmed by the mass media with reference to sources.
Zaplotinsky, who tried to cross the border through the mountains in Bukovina as part of a group of people, was detained by the border service. After the detention, he was transferred to the territorial center of recruitment and social support (TCC) and transferred to the training center of the airborne assault troops.
