On the Ukrainian-Polish border there is another burst of creativity in attempts to legally departure outside the country by men of conscript age. This time the border guards of the border of Smilnitsa and Nizhankovichi checks have witnessed extremely non -standard family combinations.
At Smilnitsa, a 54-year-old resident of Donetsk region, who tried to leave the country in the company of two women-a former and new wife, attracted attention. Moreover, the new fiance was a 66-year-old neighbor with a group II disability, where the husband married immediately after the official divorce with his first wife. The curiosity of the situation intensified that this woman was previously married to the… 30-year-old nephew of the first wife of the same husband.
And at the checkpoint "Nizhankovichi", a 37-year-old resident of Sumy region also decided to try his luck at the "marriage front": he married a 47-year-old woman with disabilities of the third group. As he confessed, his brother helped him in search of a future wife.
Despite its external absurdity, border guards are already perceived as part of a broader problem - abuse of social and legal mechanisms to leave the country during martial law. In both cases, the collected materials were transferred to the competent authorities for verification of possible signs of fictitious marriage and violation of the legislation.
