To avoid disruptions during contactless and online payments, PrivatBank recommends that some customers reissue their cards. Despite the automatic extension of the validity period for 30 months, card renewal may be necessary in certain cases.
Who should reissue the card?
-
The validity period has expired, and you need an active card, for example, for traveling abroad.
-
The card was lost, left in an ATM, or stolen.
-
The card is damaged, erased, or excessively worn.
-
The owner's personal data (last name, first name, patronymic) has changed.
-
You need to change your card type or payment system.
-
Suspicious or fraudulent transactions have been recorded on the account.
How to issue a reissue
-
At a PrivatBank branch, contact the operator with your passport and identification code.
-
In the Privat24 mobile application, select "Reissue card" in the card menu, choose a plastic or virtual version, and specify the delivery method.
The reissue procedure is free of charge. The new card number will change, but the account and all settings will remain unchanged. After activating the new card, the previous one will be automatically deactivated.
