While the front is holding the defense, the rear is more loudly about the lack of labor. In March 2025, 65% of Ukrainian enterprises again recognized the main problem for doing business. This is evidenced by the results of a monthly survey of the Institute for Economic Research and Political Consultations (IED), published by Glavcom.
"In recent months and even quarters, the problem of labor lack is among the leaders," said Senior Researcher Ied Eugene Angel. According to him, the business suffers from the call of employees to the army and from the mass departure of staff abroad.
In the second place among key barriers is the issue of safety. In March, 53% of companies said they were simply "dangerous". This again raises the topic of attacks on critical infrastructure, shelling in the frontal regions and general instability.
Closes the top three problems - rising prices for raw materials and materials. This factor noted 48% of respondents.
Instead, the "horror stories" in recent months - electricity interruptions - loses its relevance. If 18% of enterprises complained in February, then in March - only 9%. The problem dropped on the eighth stage in anti -rating.
What does the government's business think about? In March, two -thirds of the respondents (65%) called the state policy to support entrepreneurs "neutral", another 23% - frankly negative. Only one tenth entrepreneur believes that the government helps effectively.
The shadow of problems sounds careful optimism. The average salary in Ukraine increased by 20% per year - to 24 thousand hryvnias. The highest profits are demonstrated by atypical professions: farmers (66 500 UAH), dermatologists (50 000 UAH) and even radio engineering.
But no matter how salaries grow, if you work to no one - growing business. And while the army holds the front, the economy needs no less support - and most importantly, people.
