Over the past year, tariffs for housing and communal services in Ukraine have increased by 19.3%, with electricity rising the most in price – by 63.6%. This is evidenced by data from the State Statistics Service.
What exactly has become more expensive?
In addition to electricity, prices for the following services have increased:
- Household waste removal – +10.7%.
- Apartment building management services – +9.6%.
- Housing maintenance and repair – +3.5%.
- Water supply – +0.7%.
- Sewerage – +0.6%.
At the same time, tariffs for natural gas, hot water, and heating remained unchanged.
Are further tariff increases planned?
According to government representatives, after the heating season ends, tariffs will remain at the current level.
Electricity will cost UAH 4.32 per kWh after April 30.
Natural gas and hot water will remain unchanged due to the moratorium on price increases.
“The government is not considering raising tariffs in the near future,” the Cabinet of Ministers assured.
How to check the allocation of a subsidy?
Subsidy recipients can check their status in their personal account on the Pension Fund portal. The “My Subsidy” section displays:
- Last month of accrual,
- Amount of assistance,
- Appointment decision.
Utility prices continue to rise, but the government promises to keep tariffs under control. Whether this will be possible in the context of the energy crisis remains to be seen.
