While the Ukrainians defend the state on the front, Russian curators recruit minors for terrorist attacks in the rear. One of these cases happened in Vinnitsa-the city court issued a sentence to a 17-year-old boy who agreed to set fire to the building of a local shopping center for UAH 80 thousand. The task, as it turned out, was obtained through the Telegram channel, probably controlled by Russian special services.
The story began on the night of July 6, 2024. At about four in the morning, a fire broke out on the stairs of the territorial staffing center. The next part managed to localize the ignition, but in place there were material evidence - a piece of tissue with DNA Pali.
The surveillance cameras recorded the defendant, and on the same day he was detained in one of the Vinnytsia hotels. The guy came from Odessa and was still a minor. It was found that he made a wick for ignition from his T -shirt, thus leaving his own traces.
In court, the young man fully pleaded his guilt. He explained that he went to crime because of a difficult life - he lived separately from his mother, worked, but there was not enough money. The promise of rapid earnings of 80 thousand hryvnia seemed to him attractive.
The mother's mother confirmed the difficult situation in the family: the father does not take part in the education, she lives with other children with a new man, and her son lived separately.
The boy threatened up to 15 years or even life imprisonment for diversion in martial law. However, the court took into account his age, full recognition of guilt, repentance and difficult circumstances of life. The sentence is five years in prison.
This is not the first time that Russian curators use Ukrainian youth in their schemes. Telegram has become a convenient tool for recruiting - the proposal to "earn" for arson or photos of military objects easily find emotionally unstable teenagers in difficulty.
