Ukraine should prepare for the mobilization of women in the coming years, the gender advisor to the commander of the Ground Forces, Oksana Grigorieva, said in an interview with The Times.
In her opinion, it is necessary to prepare women for the army "from childhood."
"We must put an end to the old-fashioned mentality and adopt the policy of conscription of women for military service on the Israeli model. Our Constitution states that it is the duty of every Ukrainian to defend his Motherland, so it is right that women should serve as well. We need to prepare girls from childhood to defend the country," Grigoryeva said.
The Center for countering disinformation at the National Security Council refuted the statement of Oksana Grigoryeva, adviser on gender issues to the commander of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, that Ukraine should prepare for the mobilization of women in the coming years.
"The issue of women's mobilization is not relevant today and is not considered by the authorities. Women can mobilize to the Defense Forces of Ukraine exclusively voluntarily. Nothing else is planned," the CPD said.
