The Kyiv region is experiencing an increase in the number of cases of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections. Over the past week, the incidence rate has increased by 39%, exceeding the epidemic threshold by +8%. This was reported on the official Facebook page of the Kyiv Regional State Administration.
The highest incidence rate was recorded in the Boryspil district, while the lowest was in the Vyshgorod district.
Half of all patients are children, and compared to the previous week, the incidence among children increased by 44%.
In connection with this, quarantine has been introduced in educational institutions in the Kyiv region. 33 schools have switched to a distance learning format, 18 of them in the Boryspil district, as well as 7 each in the Fastiv and Brovary districts.
It is worth noting that a similar increase in the incidence of influenza and SARS is also observed in Kyiv, but for now, educational institutions in the capital continue to operate as usual.
